Since its inception, there has been a huge amount of good will, gifts and donations coming from all sides, from local groups and local councils, from very generous local charities, and from neighbours, visitors and individuals who have appreciated the work of the FOGG volunteers along the Glen.
As spring gems start appearing along the Glen, one lovely example of such generosity has come with the donation of violets.
FOGG member John McGregor reports, following yesterday’s working party’s session:
The first batch, donated by a local resident, has been planted this morning and will be watered regularly by her as she walks her dog.

We look forward, once a grant has been obtained, to establishing a carpet of violets.
These are Devon Violets, which are scented: Viola odorata (Vt)|sweet violet/RHS Gardening
A big thank you to this lovely lady for her gift – and we look forward also to seeing them bloom over the coming springs along the Glen.
