WORKING PARTY REPORT AND PHOTOS: 31ST AUGUST 2023

The last couple of weeks have seen a lot of further clearing of ivy – particularly on the walls – and much carried out by Thomas.

Ivy is ‘good for wildlife’, providing habitat and, in the autumn, nectar for insects at a time of year when they need some feeding up. But there can be too much of a good thing, as ivy, like brambles and bamboo and sycamore, can take over very quickly and crowd everything out.
