WORKING PARTY REPORT AND PHOTOS: 13TH APRIL 2023

Phil Lee of the FOGG working party reports on this week’s labours:

“Following yesterdays horrendous weather, seven happy volunteers enjoyed the warm and sunny conditions this morning, and carried on with our main jobs of the moment, filling dumpy bags for disposal by EDDC (which is now going well and beginning to review the true extent of the lawn), weeding the raised beds on the eastern side of the goyle, and cutting back bamboo and overhanging branches and shrubs that are denying some sunlight to lower plants. 

“We had a visit from Paul [EDDC Horticultural Officer], who gave us valuable advice on how to designate various areas, when we carry out an area-by-area survey next Thursday. This rudimentary survey will hopefully aid the preparation of a planting scheme proposal. Ever onwards, ever upwards.”
