WORKING PARTY REPORT AND PHOTOS: 23RD NOVEMBER 2023

Here’s a fine report from regular FOGG working party member Phil Lee:

Despite a little rain leading up to 10am, there was seven of us, including Paul, for a morning of bulb planting (with a few new shrubs planted out). The weather improved as the morning went on, and by the time we left, the sun was shining on us. We planted around one and a half thousand bulbs in total. Paul gave us some good advice on planting the bulbs. Now all we have to do is wait for the spring…

We had discussions about how we would like access to and through all parts of the park, particularly for those with ambulatory challenges. A proposal is being prepared.

We are pleased with the work carried out by EDDC on the bank between Glen Road the lawn. The extra light that can now penetrate down to ground level will assist us with nurturing existing plants, and introduce new species, helping to further improve biodiversity.

All in all, a very productive and satisfactory morning.
