Thank you to the Streetscene team for removing bags of debris collected by Friends of Glen Goyle!

The team at East Devon’s Streetscene are extremely busy – as they are not only asked to do all sorts in the green spaces and other areas they are responsible for, but they are rather short staffed, as shown in the recent job advertisements on the council’s social media.

Nevertheless, as recounted today by John Hopkins of the FOGG working party, the Streetscene team have managed to find the time and space to deal with the large compost bags the volunteers need every week:

I noticed that EDDC were removing the bags we had filled 👍

Here’s a photo of how the bags can build up – and where they are filled up, right next to the top exit on Glen Road, in readiness for the Streetscene team to take them away. Which is what they are doing!

The photo was taken by John exactly two years ago – and can be seen in the pieces on the joy of composting along the Glen and clearing debris along the Glen.

Thank you to the Streetscene team!
