Mid-November last year seemed to be a good time of year to go planting along the Glen. And it seems to be mid-February when we see the first crocus along the Glen.
Bulbs certainly do very well on Glen Goyle, with the good drainage and dappled light – and are quite a feature of both the long stretch along the stream and dotted about in all sorts of corners.
Volunteers of the FOGG working party have been busy this week putting in cyclamen bulbs. And FOGG member John Hopkins has been busy with his camera taking photos of what is beginning to come up from the earlier planting efforts of the FOGG team:
