A month ago, we were praising the show of glorious Camellia along the Glen .
They seem to be getting even better as spring approaches – or, as Friends of Glen Goyle working party member John Hopkins would have it: “it’s a very good year for Camellias this year”.

As the English Garden website says, “undeniably elegant, with the glossiest of green leaves and generous blooms, camellias bring such colour and life to the garden at a time when many plants are still resting as we gently emerge from winter.”
