And as any gardener knows, ‘pottering’ is essential to keeping both gardener and garden happy:

In practical terms, ‘pottering’ entails lots of gentle snipping and tidying, a bit of planting and generally keeping an eye on how the space is looking. And of course, the more you get to know your ‘garden space’, the more you get to feel what needs a touch of tlc.
Which makes for a good team of volunteers!
