The Fairy Glen, a magical place

As Summer has finally arrived the FOGG crew have been very busy and 6 of us had a productive session. Planting various donated plants and digging out many of the invasive dock leaves in the lawn area.

As we were packing up three generations of a family, mum, daughter and granddaughter were admiring the echiums, fernery and brook and as they left said we call this place The Fairy Glen, a magical place and we love to visit. It reminded me that when our grandchildren were small I convinced them that the bridge over the Goyle was a Troll bridge and they had to pay a toll of a penny to the troll below before crossing. They loved to visit too and there must be a good few pennies still in the brook below.
