The Glen Goyle is basically divided into two very different spaces – each a magical place of its own. The one accompanies the brook on its way down a gulley, down towards the sea; the other is the garden of Asherton House which used to stand to the north of the Glen Goyle.
And it is this garden which is beginning to unfold its secrets – with the family who formally lived there generously providing Friends of Glen Goyle with all sorts of wonderful insights into the history of the garden as well as the history of family members who lived at Asherton House.
Here is the new page on the FOGG website – which will take you down further paths and interesting ways into the layers of the Glen’s history: Asherton House – Friends of Glen Goyle
Enjoy exploring!
